Earthing & Balancing Treatment

Earthing & Balancing Treatment

with the support of an earthing mat and reflex point work on the endocrine system and vagus nerve

for deep rest and balancing the body, mind and emotions

The Treatment

I am so pleased to be able to offer this wonderful balancing treatment, where you will receive a deeply restful experience and an opportunity for your whole self to heal and regenerate. A unique ingredient of this treatment is the use of an organic earthing sheet upon the treatment table. The sheet's interwoven silver thread conducts the earth's grounding electrons, via an earthing socket, through the sheet and delivers it to you. This contact with the earth's grounding energy is said to improve sleep and reduce pain and inflammation, whilst also providing a deep rest to the entire holistic being.

The treatment itself combines work on the endocrine and vagus nerve reflex points on the feet, hands and face, gentle stimulation of the thymus and a head massage, a sound frequency element using a Tibetan bowl and crystals specific to the areas we are balancing.

This is a deeply relaxing experience to rest the nervous system, along with important regulatory systems, and allow the body to reset naturally.

More on the endocrine system and vagus nerve and their importance

The endocrine system's function is to regulate stress response, energy levels, hormones, metabolism, blood pressure, blood sugar, fluid (water), electrolyte balance, body temperature, fertility, sleep-wake cycle and mood.

The thymus chakra is sometimes called the higher heart chakra due to its position in the upper chest. When we are in our mother’s womb one of the first glands to develop is the thymus gland. The thymus gland is associated with the function of the immune system and also contains the unique pattern for your DNA. It is known as a bridge between the emotion and intellect and also associated with forgiveness, compassion, and a release of fear.

The vagus nerve, also known as the vagal nerves, are the main nerves of your parasympathetic nervous system. Your parasympathetic nervous system controls 'rest and digest' functions. It’s the opposite of your sympathetic nervous system’s 'fight or flight' response. Your vagal nerves play important roles in involuntary sensory and motor (movement) functions, including: digestion, heart rate, blood pressure and respiration (breathing), immune system responses, mood, mucus and saliva production, skin and muscle sensations, speech, taste, urine output.

By working on the reflex points of these important systems, whilst receiving the benefits of earthing, we look to allow the body to find its balance, naturally.
